Keynote
Dr.
Frances Stillman is an Associate Professor at the Institute
for Global Tobacco Control, the Bloomberg School of Public Health,
Johns Hopkins University, USA. She has worked extensively in
Asia on research including through the Evidence Translation
and Dissemination Center for Secondhand Smoke, the Global Tobacco
Research Network, and the Reduce Smoking in Vietnam Partnership.
She has published many papers on building research skills and
infrastructure.
Dr.
Ron Borland is the Nigel Gray Distinguished Fellow in Cancer
Prevention at the VicHealth Centre for Tobacco Control in Australia.
He has authored or co-authored over 150 papers on a wide range
of tobacco control topics from cessation to international tobacco
control policy. He is the principal investigator of the International
Tobacco Control Policy Evaluation Project in South East Asia.
He is a primary contributor to the 2008, International Agency
for Research on Cancer (IARC) Handbook on Tobacco Control Policy
Evaluation.
